By visiting and using this website, you agree that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”) by My Friend (“My Friend,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

This website includes materials protected by intellectual property laws, including but not limited to written text, logos, photos, videos, and graphics. You may view, download, print, and share materials from this website for personal, noncommercial purposes only. You may not republish, reproduce, distribute, or otherwise use any material from this website for commercial purposes without our explicit written consent. Unauthorized use of any materials on this website is an infringement of our rights and may result in legal action.

Unless otherwise noted, individuals shown in photographs or videos on this website are models used for illustrative purposes only. Their inclusion is based solely on visual and editorial considerations, and they have no other connection to My Friend or to the topics discussed on this website.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to make a donation or purchase merchandise through this website. By completing a donation or purchase, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any payment information you provide belongs to you or that you are authorized to use it.

You are strictly forbidden from:

Donations

This website allows you to make charitable donations. Donations are processed by Squarespace, and by submitting payment information you represent that it is accurate and that you are authorized to use it.

We may recognize you as a donor by name (for example, in an annual report or donor wall) unless you ask us not to. Any other information you share with us in connection with a donation is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

IIf you choose to set up a recurring donation, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your designated payment method at the frequency and amount you selected. Your recurring donation will continue until you cancel it or we terminate it.

Due to system configurations, active recurring donations cannot be directly modified or edited (such as changing the amount, payment date, or frequency). To change a recurring donation, you must cancel your current active recurring donation schedule and establish a new one with your updated preferences.

You may cancel your recurring donation at any time by logging into your user account on our site or by contacting our support team at hello@myfriendfoundation.com. Cancellation requests sent via email must be received at least 3 business days before your next scheduled payment to avoid being charged for that cycle.

My Friend is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. A tax receipt will be provided for your records. Our tax identification number (EIN) is 42-3477429.

My Friend makes no representations or guarantees about any outcome, result, or benefit you may experience from using this website, engaging with our content, donating, or purchasing merchandise.

Those third parties are governed by their own terms and privacy practices, and My Friend is not responsible for their content or conduct. My Friend operates this website from offices in the United States and makes no representation that its content is appropriate or available for use in other locations. If you access this website from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with applicable local laws.

Disclosure Policy

This website is written and maintained by My Friend. My Friend does not accept cash advertising, sponsorships, paid placements, complimentary products, or other compensation in exchange for coverage on this website, and does not have relationships that would present a conflict of interest with the content published here.

Waiver & Severability

If My Friend does not enforce a provision of these Terms on any occasion, that does not waive our right to enforce it later. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
